09.11.06: Patriot day!!!
 
My thoughts ad prayers go out to everyone who lost someone five years ago on 9/11.  We've all come a long way and being in NYC today means a lot.  I'm glad i still have the freedom to walk to NYU and not be fearful.  I'll never forget everyone of those heroes who died.  On another note thanks to all who came out to the Ace of Clubs birthday bash.  Carmen you're my road dawg!  It seems we're always taking trips to NYC and Philly. We should be professional travelers.
 
The 8th was a night full of "unexpected suprises" but I got no complaints.  I'm still here and I'm making music!!  My actual birthday is this friday.  Can't wait!!  Anyway if anyone is free tonight I'm playing at the Village Vanguard with the VJO band in NYC.  Sets are at 9pm and 11pm.  Swing through if you're free. I'm gonna try to swing myself. It's been so long.  Well the world beckons once again so i'll holla!  BP I miss ya and I hope to see a soon.  Steffie holla at me!! 08.30.06: Birthday Bash on the 8th at Ace of Clubs!!!
 
My birthday's coming up. It's the 15th of September, but on the 8th I'm having a muscial birthday party at the Ace of Clubs in NYC!!  I'm playing with PVD and there are some great bands joining us.  Make it out if you can. I will post the info in the event section soon.  But please come out and help me turn 24!!!  See ya'll on the 8th.

08.04.06: WOW!!!
 
I feel like I've been going nonstop for the past two months. (hence the lack of any news updates) But I'm finally getting some time to write just in time for my last semester at NYU. The next couple of months are gonna be crazy!! So where did I leave off?? Umm. Houston was great on the 1st of July. Reliant stadium was packed out with people and LL and the band killed it!! I have some video footage on my myspace page. Check it out at Jameel's Myspace. 
 
It was a really good show to watch too!! Yolanda Adams went on before us and Earth Wind & Fire and Mary J went on after us. Check out some of the pics in my updated gallery!! I promise I will finish this site in the next 5 years or so!!!! :o) Anyway there is a pic of me and LL and a pic with me and Phillip Bailey. I gotta upload another one of me and Magic Johnson.The trip was amazing and I had so much fun.
 
I've also been down in Philly a lot of the summer playing for a church and continuing work on Billy Thompson's record. Unfortunately I have put recording of my record on hold, But i'm still writing some great songs and other material so look out for it soon!! Oh yeah!!, I just got back from teaching the William Paterson summer jazz camp. This was my 4th year and I really had a good time.
 
The kids were great and they taught me probably as much as I taught them. It's a real humbling experience to work with infant musicians. They suprise you often and remind you of how you were when you first started playing. They also remind why you play.Simply because you love it.
 
Well I got a ton of things to do today, but I promise to be better with the news. Check me out tonight with PVD in South Orange at the Dancing Goat. To all my friends and family "Be Easy." And Stay Productive. Shout out to Stella!! What's up??!! I promise to spell Filipino with an "F" and not a "Ph." I'm out, you all be good!!

06.19.06: No rest for the weary!

Sorry for the long delay in updates. I've been in Philadelphia for the past two weeks working on Billy Thompson's gospel record. He's opening for the mother of gospel, Shirley Ceaeser, at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia on July 1st. But I can't catch that date because I'll be in Houston with LL Cool J for the Essence Music Festival! I can't wait to go to Texas. All the sun and fun.

04.29.06: Work Work Work!

I'm starting work on my record and it looks like it will be done by the end if the year. This summer will be busy and I'm excited about doing the project. Shout out to Steph Cutrone!! She's getting married on the 20th of May. I'm happy for her and I wish her the best. That's it for now. Be safe and Productive!

We played another concert for LL that will air tonight on BET at 7:30 pm called BET Blueprint: LL Cool J.

03.09.06: Spring Break Time!

We played the concert for LL on Friday and it was crazy!! Definately stay tuned for the television airing. It will be on the Oxygen Channel. 
 
The concert airs Saturday March 18, 2006 at 10:30pm. If you don't get that channel hit me up so I can show you the DVD. We have a another hit with LL on the 17th in NYC. I'll keep you posted. Yo L we got that ring baby!!! Everybody be safe keep moving!

02.26.06: Home again!

Just got back from Chicago with the Vanguard Orchestra!! I had a great time. Riley, Ralphie, Mags, and Steve Wilson all played their tales off!! So now this week I got the LL Cool J gig. It's a live taping for the Oxygen Network at Sony Studios in Midtown.
 
The music is crazy and the band is ridiculous. My man Adam is the MD and he got all of the best cats to do the hit. I'm really amped to do it. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Be safe and productive.

01.8.06: Happy New Year!

I'm excited about this year and hopefully I can get this site finished. I'm doing a lot of things this year so I'll keep you all posted.

09.27.05: Website Launch

I'm working on my own Gospel project and about to do something on A Better Way's new gospel album.

I'm also taking some graduate classes in Film scoring at NYU. Keep checking back for more updates!!
